I'm Kay, Travel Filmmaker & Commercial Cinematographer. I also founded Framekit & Storyflow.
Creator of Framekit.ai and Storyflow.so, helping creatives with innovative software solutions.
I was in my early twenties, stuck between two paths. Keep studying nursing in the Netherlands or chase a new obsession—filmmaking. Travel photography on Instagram had me hooked, and the choice became obvious. I went all in. In 2018, a friend and I set off to Indonesia. That trip changed everything. I couldn't stop filming, capturing places, people, and moments that felt too important to forget. What started as curiosity turned into a style—raw, immersive, and focused on voices often overlooked.
I started small, taking freelance gigs wherever I could. It was slow at first, but I kept going—learning, improving, and figuring out how to turn creativity into a business. Over time, I built a system that worked: freelancing, YouTube sponsorships, and digital products. Now, I make $30,000–$40,000 a month doing what I love. I owe this success to three things: never stopping, personal branding, and storytelling. Consistency kept me moving, my brand made people take notice, and storytelling made them stay.
